, - � � • <br />The Contractor shall be permitted to subcontract portions of the tasks delineated herein, <br />provided State approval is secured. Summaries of work undertaken by subcontractors <br />shall be submitted on a quarterly basis by the Contractor to the Department of Natural <br />Resources. <br />P. Other Contractors <br />The State may undertake or award other contracts for additional or related work, and the <br />Contractor shall fully cooperate with such other contractors and State employees. <br />The State may, at its discretion, permit review of Contractor's interim or final written <br />reports by other contractors who have been engaged to do related work. The State <br />may, at its discretion, request the Contractor to review the work of other contractors <br />and may, from time to time, require the Contractor to meet with other contractors to <br />discuss matters of mutual concern. <br />Q. Termination of the Contract <br />The State shall have the right to terminate this contract for convenience by giving the other <br />party thirty (30) days prior written notice. If notice is so given, this Contract shall <br />terminate on the expiration of the thirty days, and the liability of the parties hereunder <br />for further performance of the terms of this contract shall thereupon cease, but the <br />parties shall not be released from the duty to perform their obligations up to the date <br />of termination. <br />The State may, after written notice to the Contractor, and at least ten (10) days opportunity <br />to cure the default or show cause why termination is otherwise not appropriate, <br />terminate the right of the Contractor to proceed with this Contract if: <br />1. It is found, after notice by the State, that gratuities in the form of <br />entertainment, gifts or otherwise were offered or given by the <br />Contractor or any agent or representatives of the Contractor to any <br />officer or employee of the State with views towards securing a <br />contract or securing favorable treatment with respect to awarding, <br />amending or the making of any determinations with respect to the <br />performing of such contract. <br />2. In the sole discretion of the State, the services of the Contractor are <br />unsatisfactory or the Contractor has failed to prosecute the work with <br />diligence or within the specified time limits. <br />If the agreement is terminated by the State, as provided herein, all finished or unfinished <br />documents, data, studies, surveys, drawings, maps, models, photographs, and reports <br />or other material prepared by the Contractor under the contract shall at the option of <br />the State, become its property, and the Contractor shall be entitled to receive just and <br />equitable compensation for any services and supplies delivered and accepted.
