Bureau and Mr. Sloan and Mr. Sarchet. Can we
deliver water to these three ditches ?"
MR. KNIGHTS: "Dave, that's in effect what I was saying.
That until you select a site you don't know what
area to say will be benefited so that you can form
a repayment entity."
MR. D. MILLER: "Let me ask ."
MR. KNIGHTS: "i'm just saying the same thing that you're
saying in different words."
MR. D. MILLER: "Let me ask the question then, can you deliver
water to the Bijou, the Henrylynn and the River-
side out of both sites? That's what they have to
know before they can decide."
MR. KNIGHTS: "Water can be delivered to the Henrylynn on
exchange out of either. Water can only be deliv-
ered directly out of the Weld County site to the
Bijou and the Riverside but water can be delivered
to the Bijou and the Riverside by exchange out of
the Narrows. Up in the
Denver area here there are bunches of systems
organized together. Now, their requirement, dur-
ing those summer months, is in the neighborhood
of around 700 second feet and I have right here
the U.S.G.S. report for 1940. I've also got one
for 1949 here, which was a good year and a poor
year, and we find we only have 80 or 90 second
feet. That's the total flow at the point of
diversion. So you'd be in a poor position to try
to get 600 or 700 feet out of a little 80 or 90.
Incidentally the Bijou people already have a
-34-
