Greg Peterson said that the next meeting of the UGRWCD will be on
November 14, 2002 at 5:30 p.m. at the Multipurpose Building, and that the
middle of the month meetings will take place on Thursdays, rather than
Tuesdays. He said he wants to hold the second monthly meetings only if
necessary.
14. EXECUTIVE SESSION
Greg Peterson said that there are three matters to discuss in executive
session: The Black Canyon settlement, Long Lake, and a personnel matter
with Bratton & McClow.
John McClow said he could discuss the personnel matter in open session.
He said that the board directed Bratton & McClow to come to the board in
advance of accepting any employment that could be perceived as being in
conflict with the district. He said that Camp, Dresser & McKee, are
preparing to put a bid on the State Water Supply Initiative and want Bratton
& McClow to work with them on it. He said that it is to be a reconnaissance
study which will make no recommendations.
The board' s consensus was to approve of the participation by Bratton &
McClow in the state' s Water Supply Investigation work in conjunction with
Camp, Dresser & McKee.
Bob Drexel moved and Bob Irby seconded to adjourn into executive session
to discuss matters relating to negotiations regarding Long Lake, pursuant to
§24- 6- 402(4)(a), C.R.S., and §24- 6- 402(4)(e), C.R.S., and also to discuss
matters relating to the Black Canyon litigation, pursuant to §24- 6- 402(4)(b),
C.R.S. The motion carried.
The board took no action as a result of the executive session.
15. ADJOURNMENT
Board President Greg Peterson adjourned the October 28, 2002 meeting at
10:10 P.M.
Respectfully submitted,
