GUNNISON COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS Page 13 of 14 <br />GUNNISON COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />ATTACHMENT TO MINUTES <br />OF RESOLUTION TEXT <br />BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />OF GUNNISON COUNTY <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2003 - 24 <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXPENDITURE OF FUNDS FROM THE WATER RESOURCES <br />PROTECTION FUND FOR THE WATER RESOURCE PROTECTION PURPOSES <br />WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Gunnison County, Colorado has adopted Resolution <br />No. 90 -2, A Resolution Creating a Water Resources Protection Fund; and <br />WHEREAS, such Resolution No. 90 -2 states that funds from the Water Resources Protection Fund may <br />be used for water resources upon majority vote of the Board of County Commissioners; and <br />NOW THEREFORE, it is resolved by the Board of County Commissioners that the Board authorizes <br />expenditure of funds from the Water Resources Protection Fund for: <br />1. To appropriate funds to defray the cost of retaining Mussetter Engineering to develop technical <br />information this spring to support the interests of the objectors in the Black Canyon National <br />Park water right litigation. <br />2. In an amount not to exceed $2,500. <br />FURTHER, the appropriation of these funds is contingent upon limiting the results of the work to the <br />West Slope Common Interest Group. It is specifically directed that the funds be used only if the State of Colorado <br />is excluded from the process. <br />INTRODUCED by Commissioner Starr, seconded by Commissioner Anderson, and adopted this 25th day <br />of March, 2003. <br />BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF GUNNISON COUNTY, COLORADO <br />Field — yes; Starr — yes; Anderson — yes <br />BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />OF GUNNISON COUNTY <br />RESOLUTION NO. 03-25 <br />A RESOLUTION EXTENDING A TEMPORARY MORATORIUM ON GUNNISON <br />COUNTY LAND USE CHANGE AND OTHER APPLICATIONS <br />FOR OIL AND GAS DRILLING OPERATIONS <br />WHEREAS, the Board previously adopted Resolution 02 -35; and <br />WHEREAS, the Moratorium established pursuant to Resolution 02 -35 will expire on April 2, 2003; and <br />WHEREAS, the Board intends to conduct consultation with the Planning Commission and a public <br />hearing and adopt on or about May 13, 2003 temporary regulations regarding oil and gas drilling operations in <br />Gunnison County; and <br />WHEREAS, the Board reasonably anticipates it may receive land use change and other applications for <br />permission to conduct oil and gas operations before May 13, 2003, <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Gunnison County, <br />Colorado that the moratorium established pursuant to Resolution 02 -35 is extended through May 13, 2003, unless <br />http : / /www.co.gunnison.co.us/BOCC /minutes /20030325nm.html 6/6/2003 <br />
