Notice is hereby given that a special meeting of the Colorado Water Conservation Board
(CWCB) will be held at the Centennial Building, 1313 Sherman Street, 2 nd Floor Room 220,
Denver, Colorado 80203 at 10 a.m. on Thursday, November 8, 2001.
The Board will hold a formal rulemaking hearing to establish rules for the implementation of
Senate Bill 216. On June 5, 2001, Governor Owens signed into law Senate Bill 216, concerning
in- channel recreational diversions. This legislation directs the CWCB to review applications for
recreational in- channel diversions and to submit its recommendations to the water court. The
CWCB must set rules to govern procedures for applications and review. From June to September
of 2001 the Board is holding an informal rulemaking process and public meetings throughout the
state. The formal rulemaking hearing on Thursday, November 8, 2001 follows this informal
rulemaking process.
All programs, services and activities of the Department of Natural Resources and the Colorado
