The number of designated events is one less than the <br />number of World Cups in Slalom in that year. <br />44.8.1.3 If an athlete competes in all World Cups than his /her <br />worst <br />result is excluded from the calculation of the overall World <br />Cup in Slalom. <br />44.8.2. The competitor with the highest total points is the winner <br />of the World Cup in his /her event. <br />44.8.2.1. In the event of a tie in the final ranking, higher ranking <br />is <br />given to the competitor having the best result in the final <br />competition. <br />44.9. Awards rrR] <br />44.9.1. The following awards are furnished by the ICF. 5 Cups <br />for <br />individual events. <br />44.9.2. Medals or prizes must be awarded to the top 3 <br />competitors <br />in each event at each competition and for the overall World <br />Cup. <br />44.10. Closing Ceremony rrRi <br />44.10.1. The final results must be announced and the World <br />Cups <br />awarded in a manner according to the statutes concerning <br />ICF- Competitions. <br />45. SPECIALRULES FOR 4 -CAT- RELAY COMPETITION <br />45.1 Aim: During of the World Cup competitions special 4 CAT <br />Relay races may be organised to increase the interest in <br />developing the four Canoe/Kayak disciplines in many <br />countries simultaneously. <br />45.2. ICF Officials for WCS [rRl <br />44.6.1. The SLC nominate 1 ICF Delegate for each of the WCS <br />events. <br />44.6.1.1.The organising Federation pays travel expenses, room <br />and board of the delegates of the ICF. <br />44.7. Duty of the ICF Official [rR] <br />44.7.1. The delegate of the ICF supervises the competition. <br />44.7.1.1. He /she has the right to attend and vote at all <br />meetings. <br />44.7.1.2. He /she must, in co- operation with the organizers, <br />establish <br />the World ranking of all the competitors and oversee the <br />production of the current World Cup results. <br />44.7.2. After each WCS the delegate of the ICF must submit a <br />report to the Secretary General of the ICF and to the <br />President of the ICF SLC concerning the sporting nature of <br />the competition. <br />44.8. Awarding of the World Cup in slalom [rR1 <br />44.8.1. On the basis of the final results of each of the WCS "s <br />the <br />Cup ranking in each event is established. <br />44.8.1.1. Each of the participating competitors receive points in <br />the <br />WCS as follows: <br />1st place - 30 points; 2nd place - 25 points; <br />3rd place - 20 points; 4th place - 18 points; <br />5th place - 17 points; 6th place -16 points; <br />7th place -15 points; 8th place -14 points; <br />9th place - 13 points; 10th place -12 points <br />11th place - 10 points; 12th place - 9 points; <br />13th place - 8 points; 14th place - 7 points; <br />15th place - 6 points; <br />then all other boats in the semi -final ......5 points, <br />then all boats that do not qualify for <br />the semi -final receive ................2 points <br />except boats that finish DNF receive .....1 point, <br />those boats that receive DSQ -C and <br />DNS receive .......................0 points <br />46 <br />ICF Slalom Racing Competition Rules - Version 2003.01 - Issue date: <br />January 1 .,, 2003 <br />SLALOM 2003 28/1/03 11:00 Pagina 46 <br />45.2.2 Teams change over boats at three specified gates = <br />"Changeover gates" <br />(specified by the course designer; Example: Gate 5, 10, <br />and 15). <br />45.2.3 Teams will have only one run. <br />45.2.4 The time is taken from the start of the first boat and ends <br />when the fourth boat crosses the finish line. <br />45.2.5 Teams may decide which category negotiates which <br />section <br />of the course. <br />45.2.6 Start: The boats may only put in above the Start for the <br />first boat and above the particular "Changeover" gate for <br />the other boats. <br />Finish: After the particular section is completed this boat <br />must leave the course near his/her "changeover gate ". <br />The boats are not allowed to cruise down the rest of the <br />course. <br />45.3.
