t •. r .9
Contrary to what is stated in Mr. Knox's memorandum,
the construction of the Fort Collins
j boat chute presented an extreme safety hazard to boaters, and prevented navigability for a
number of years. It was not until completion of a dam/chute downstream of the Fort Collins boat
chute in Spring 2000 that the Fort Collins boat chute became navigable.
I also disagree with the opinions stated in the Knox and Stenzel reports regarding waste.
There will be no waste because flows of 1,000 c.f.s. or more are controlled and create whitewater
features that are well -used, even at night.
Please contact me if you would like any supplemental opinions or more detailed explanations.
Sincerely,
Gary M Y,
P.E.
