These numbers are preliminary and the costs will certainly be higher as the Corps completes all
work tasks for the study.

CWCB/Corps contract
The CWCB and the Corps must
complete a contract amendment and
commit additional funding for the
completion of the study.
. The Corps had to terminate the
contract with Simons & Associates
as main contractor of this Study.
The CWCB and the Corps lost
considerable time and funds in this
effort.
. The Corps is now the main
contractor for the study and has
renegotiated a contract with Tetra
Tech for T & E species
consultation and preparing the
feasibility report.
. The current Corps estimate is
approximately $1,117,625 for completion of the study.
. The CWCB needs an additional $558,812 under the 50/50 cost share agreement.
. The CWCB has $150,000 in funds allocated for this project through the "Construction Fund
Bill" that is available July 1, 2004.
. The CWCB and State Parks may seek $150,000 in kind credits for both Parks and CWCB
agency staff time that has been devoted to this project.

Total Cost vs Elevation

80,000,000
70,000,000
60,000,000
_ 50,000,000
'"
o 40,000,000
U
30,000,000
20,000,000
10,000,000
o

4Y#'$'$'##'4

Elevation

Note: The red dashed line indicates the reservoir level (5440 MSL) where
structural improvements may be needed and the costs may increase

Proiect Meetings and Timeline
. Corps will provide a detailed task listltimeline for completion of the study through 2006.

. Corps will present its hydraulic modeling results and probable water supply storage space
numbers a the next meeting.

. CWCB will monitor/attend wildlife mitigation meetings for the project.

. Larry Lang - CWCB met with the Corps on April 6th in Omaha, NB regarding reservoir routing
procedures.

. The CWCB and the Corps will review reservoir modeling before the next meeting to discuss the
flood control and storage space issues related to this study.

. The Corps/CWCBrretra Tech Project Team will conduct regular project meetings. The next two
meetings are scheduled for May 5th and June 2nd 1 :30 - 3 :30 PM at Tetra Tech.

Flood Protection. Water Project Planning and Finance.
