UARB, and important recreational and wildlife resources; (4) the hydrogeology of the region has <br />been recently studied and reported on by the United States Geological Survey (USGS)2; (5) and <br />the Upper Arkansas Water Conservancy District (UAWCD) is launching a project funded by the <br />United States Bureau of Reciamation and others to develop and maintain stream gauges on three <br />or four tributaries in the region. Final designation of the extent of the study region will be <br />determined in consultation with local, state, and federal agencies. <br />Figure 2.
