2. Subcontract the construction of said project to a' reapon-
sible and capable firm, said project to be completed within 2 yeara
of the date of this contract in accordance with the project plane
and specifications and any necessary modification thereof approved
by the State. The State must approve, in writing, all aubcontracts
before they become effective. The above-mentioned time may be
extended by the State if auch time is insufficient because of acts
of God or other acts or circumatancee beyond the control of the
Contractor.
3. Require all Subcontractors engaged in the construction of
the project to indemnify the State and the Contractor against all
liability and loss, and against all claims and actions based upon
or arising out of damage or injury, including death, to persons
or property caused or sustained in connection with the performance
of any subcontract or by conditions created thereby, or based upon
any violation of any statute, ordinance or regulation, and the
defense of any such claima or actions.
4. Require all Subcontractors engage8 in the consttuction of
the project to maintain liability insurance in at least the following
amounts:
' a. For any injury to one person in any single occurence,
the sum of One Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars ($150,000).
b. For any injury to two or more persons in any single
occurence, the sum of Four Hundred Thousand Dollars ($400,000).
Said liability insurance shall he Contractor and the State
as co-insureds. No payments de under this contract ~mless

with the Colorado Water Conservati; ~
5. Conve or cause titl e~eyed by deed or other proper

conveyance to the Colorad ter Conservation Board, Department
of Natural Resources, State of Colorado, the following portions
of the proposed project facilities within 30 days of their
completion.
a. A 36-inch ductile iron pipe of about 60 linear feet,
with all appurtenances.
b. A 6-inch ductile iron pipe of about 55 linear feet, with
all appurtenances.
c. A 6-inch steel air pipe of about 542 linear feet, with
all appurtenances.
d. Air diffusion equipment.
e. Two sir compressors with 560-cubic-feet-per-minute capa-
city each.
f. Two effluent headers, carbon and polymer equipment, a
water pump and pressure tank and handrailsr which together with
a. through e. are part of a twent•y-two-million-gallon-per-day-
treatment-plant capacity located in Canon City.
6. Permit periodic inspection of construction by authorized
representatives of the State during and after construction.
7. Without expense to the State, manage, operate and maintain
the water system continuously in an efficient and economical manner,
and assume all legal liability for auch management, opecation and
maintenance. The Contractor shall maintain general liability
insurance covering its management, operaurchaseaofathe project
the water system until it has completed p
facilities from the State in at least the following amounts:
a. For any injury to one person in any single occurrence,
the sum of One Aundred Fifty Thousand Dollars (5150,000).
b. For any injury to two or more persons in any single
occurrence, the sum of Fouc Rundred Thousand Dollars ($400,000).
