The Project will assure improved operation of an existing irrigation system and will have
considerable economic benefit. Regulation, water measurement and delivery will be
signicantly improved and new equipment (new head gates and punch plates) will be
Incorporated to improve efficiency. New punch plates will assure a more efficient prevention
and elimination of waste. Seepage will be minimized and more water will be carried in the ditch
as a result. Raymond Dairy, Inc. will benefit directly from greater crop yields. The NRCS Plan
identifies other environmental, social, and economic benefits that will result from the completion
of this Project.
Conclusions
1. Raymond Dairy, Inc. is an incorporated entity in the State of Colorado with the ability to
enter into a contract with the CWCB for the purpose of obtaining a Construction Fund Loan for
Agriculture.
2. Rights-of-Way easements are adequate for the construction Project.
3. The Project would provide improved delivery and efficiency of irrigation water to field crops
and decrease seepage under the NRCS Salinity Control Program.
4. The total estimated cost of the project is $95,000. This will be financed in part by a grant
from the NRCS in the amount of $32,000 (approx. 30%). Raymond Dairy, Inc. is applying for a
long-term loan in the amount of $95,000 from the CWCB Construction Fund for the amount not
covered by the federal grant. The loan amount does not reflect the cost to have the existing ditch
structure removed.
5. Raymond Dairy, Inc. is eligible for a loan from the CWCB.
