The
water is diverted fYOm the creek approximately one xnile upstream from the water plant. The
Town's water system is comprised of a 1.5 MGD microfiltration treatment plant, two water
stoxage tanks totaling 0.9 MG of treated storage, gravity fed distribution system, and an
emergency connect with two surrounding communities.
Attachment for auestion B.4
The legal description for site of Old Dillon Reservoit is tlie SW1 /4 of the SE1 /4 of Section
13 Township 5 South, Range 78 West of the 6th Prime Mexidian, Summit County, Colorado.
Old Dillon Reservoit is located noxth of Dillon Reservoir between I-70 and the Dillon Dam
Road (Summit County Road 7) in the Dillon Ranger District of the White Rivex National
Forest (WRNF~. The site is within Sumtnit County, Colorado in an area known as Lake Hill.
Attachment for question B.5
The Town of Dillon, Summit County GoveYnment, and the Town of Silvexthorne have
agYeed undeY an intergovernmental agreement to enlarge Old Dillon Reservoir (ODR) to
store additional wateY and serve wateY needs in their Yespective jurisdictions, including
residential, industrial and commercial use.
In the spring of 2008, the culvert conveying return flows from ODR back to SLG failed
under the west bound lanes of I-70 cxeating a hole in the highway. The Colorado
Department of TranspoYtation xeplaced the culvert undex the west bound lanes and lined in
place the culveYt undeY the east bound lanes. On July 17, 2008, the Colorado Division of
Water Resources issued an order to the Town of Dillon to drain the reservoir due to
concerns ovex safety of the noYth dam.
