Genetic Guidelines for Fisheries Management <br />A complete understanding of genetic principles and considerations <br />as they relate to fisheries management is not an easy task. The <br />information provided is intended to increase the awareness of fish <br />culturists as to the importance of genetic considerations as they <br />relate to broodstock management. It is also intended to provide <br />some practical guidelines for hatchery operations. More complete <br />and detailed information regarding genetic principles and <br />guidelines as they relate to fisheries management can be found by <br />reviewing the works of Tave, 1986 (4), and Kapuscinski and <br />Jacobsen, 1987 (5). <br />1-10 <br />
