This fish <br />showed no indications that it was in spawnina condition (no <br />tuberculation. sex. products. enlarged anus. etc.). It also was <br />actively feeding as evidenced by it' taking the spoon] This fish was <br />rooarently a mature female which was not spawning this'vear. The <br />=ollection of this fish and oossibly some of the other smaller <br />sauawfish supports our radiotelemetrv findings in 1982. which indicate <br />=nat souawfish may not spawn every vear. <br />=oa.wn• ng =amo1 i ng <br />Eez t.: ember 1=-15. '20 <br />We sampled standard samoling stations includinq Lilly Park. Juniper <br />=_=rincs and Sunbeam. Mavbell was sampled as the "control" station. <br />Six of the eight fish captured in September were collected by <br />^gl:na. once again demonstrating sauawfish vulnerability to analina at <br />c_rt_in times of the year. All souawfish caught anglinq were from deep <br />tool or. ad;acent eddy habitats. The hiahliaht of our fall, trip was the <br />rec2cture of a 55'-"mm TL souawfish near Sunbeam RMI 71.6 on September <br />":.1°e,. (Table 2). This fish was originally taaaed by the USFWS•on the <br />Green River in Split Mountain Canyon (RMIL -3,222.6) on June 27.1981. when <br />?r it TL.
