Interaction Matrices for Resources and Actions
Tables 7, 8, and 9 are Resource/Action Matrices for the states of Colorado,
Utah and Wyoming, respectively. These matrices include all the Type One and
Type Two Resources and Type One and Energy Actions and sumarize, using
symbols, the potential, recognized, and perceived interactions among them.
For clarification, potential interaction is where there is geographical
overlap between a Resource and Action. Figures 6 through 11 display various
combinations of potential interactions. A recognized interaction is where
either a positive or negative interaction exists between a Resource and Action
and has been described on the COOT/CARE form. A perceived interaction indicates
that there is both geographical overlap between a Resource and an Action and
that a relationship has been described on the COOT/CARP form. Given these
definitions, the matrices serve to focus attention on the interactions of
greatest concern are the (perceived) variety, shown as black rectangles.
Resource Goals
Participants in the COOT and CARP workshops described a number of resource
goals for specific species and habitats of the Upper Basin. These goals
include preservation, restoration, stabilization, replacement and other.
0
0
-)? C.
