FONTENELLE RESERVOIR
The first step in developing the simulation was building the
network which ties the river system together. After studying the
CRSS network, a HYDROSS network was devised that also started with
a headwater in the Green River Basin of Wyoming. The first card
in the network is a station which represents natural inflow to
Fontenelle Reservoir. Flow data for this point was derived from
the CRSS natural flow data base which is converted to a HYDROSS
format by programs developed by the Service.
The next station in the network is Fontenelle Reservoir which is
modeled using data derived from the Water and Power Resources
Service (now the Bureau) Project Data Book. The operation was
simulated using the following table and physical parameters.
FONTENELLE RESERVOIR
PARAMETER TABLES
Table 1
ELEV CAPACITY AREA OUTLET
FEET KAF ACRES CAPACITY AF
1 2 3 4
6,400 .1 19 `- 18,700
6,410 .1 189 18,700
6,420 2.7 429 18,700
6,430 10.5 1,160 18,700
6,440 26.6 2,023 18,700
6,450 50.2 2,702 18,700
6,460 80.4 3,366 18,700
6,470 117.9 4,235 18,700
6,480 166.6 5,395 18,700
6,490 227.0 6,709 18,700
6,500 298.0 7,532 18,700
6,506 345.4 7,532 18,700
3
