SUBJECT: Submiss~on of location and sensitive areas for endangered fishes,
Green River Basin.

This is in reference to your memo of June 29, 1984 in which you provided
final guidance and criteria for delineation of reaches for different
life history designations. The following addresses each fish by species
with the major assumptions, etc., used in the process:

Colorado sauawfish

Spawning

Delineation of location: Two classifications were developed; confirmed
and suspected.

Confirmed:

1. Deep pool, cobble/riffle interspersion.

2. Collection of ripe adult Colorado squawfish or observation of
two or more radio-tagged adult Colorado squawfish within a
5-mi1e reach during the suspected spawning period.

3. Presence of larval Colorado squawfish <:15 mm immediately
downstream.

Suspected:

during susoectec spawning period.
