APPROPRIATION OF FUNDS BY THE UNITED <br />STATES CONGRESS <br /> <br />The funds appropriated for fiscal year 1991 for construction of the <br />eolorado River Storage Project, participating projects, and recreational <br />and fish and wildlife activities totaled $172,031,000, including $775,000 <br />for drainage and minor construction. Recreation and fish and wildlife <br />activities received a total of $26,968,000, with $11,836,000 for recrea- <br />tion and the balance for fish and wildlife. <br /> <br />In addition, under the Colorado River Basin Salinity Control Program, <br />$14,732,000 were appropriated for the Grand Valley Unit, $3,380,000 <br />for the Paradox Valley Unit, and $4,726,000 for Stage 1 of the Lower <br />Gunnison Unit. <br /> <br />Table 5, page 63, illustrates a general recapitulation of action by the <br />Second Session of the 10 1st eongress pertaining to appropriations offunds <br />for the construction program of the Colorado River Storage Project and <br />participating projects. <br /> <br />Table 6, page 64, shows the total funds appropriated by the U. S. eon- <br />gress for the Colorado River Storage Project and participating projects <br />and chargeable against the limitations of various authorizing Acts (P.L. <br />485, 84th eongress, eolorado River Storage Project Act, as amended in <br />1972 by P.L. 32-370 and in 1988 by P.L. 100-563; P.L. 87-485, San <br />Juan-ehama and Navajo Indian Irrigation Projects Act; P.L. 88-568, <br />Savery-Pot Hook, Bostwick Park, Fruitland Mesa Projects Act; P.L. 90- <br />537, Colorado River Basin Project Act). <br /> <br />62 <br />
