6 <br />• PROJECT Ute Indian, Central Utah Project <br />LOCATION Uintah Basin, Duchesne, and Uintah Counties, NE Utah, <br />Green River Basin <br />(U 2-3, U 5) <br />SPONSOR U.S. Bureau of Reclamation <br />DATE OF SHEET November 1, 1977 <br />TYPE OF FACILITY Transbasin diversion, water storage, irrigation <br />STATUS Feasibility study very preliminary. At this point <br />development is very uncertain. <br />COMPONENTS <br />Alternatives: <br />• <br />A. Pipeline up Range Creek from the Green River and then <br />over the Book Cliffs to Price and East Carbon. <br />B. Pipeline from the Green River near Green River, Utah <br />along Highway 6 and 50 to Price and East Carbon. <br />C. Bring water down from Flaming Gorge to Roosevelt and <br />Vernal area to supplement water diverted from Moon Lake <br />area to Jordenelle Reservoir. <br />D. Same as 3 except water diverted to Strawberry Reservoir. <br />E. Bluebell Dam and Reservoir <br />Dam Sec. 12, T.2S., R. 3W. <br />Dam height - 165 ft., total capacity - 20,200 AF, <br />normal surface area - 472 ac. <br />(continued on following sheet) <br />PROJECTED IMPACTS ON THE COLORADO RIVER SYSTEM <br />REFERENCES <br />Depletion or salinity increases cannot be predicted at <br />this point. An estimated 75,000 to 100,000 AF of water <br />is available to the project. Alternatives 1 and 2 <br />emphasize energy development, while alternatives 3 and 4 <br />emphasize irrigation.
