: <br />quarter 2007 will include the EA Pulse Flow Monitoring Protocol (if needed), Tern Prey Fish <br />Monitoring, Geomorphology Monitoring, and Vegetation Monitoring. Specifically within the <br />fish, geomorphology, and vegetation monitoring will be the selection of sample points for the <br />long-term monitoring efforts as well as methods modifications as needed. <br />Database Management Development - Early in the first quarter 2007 the process of the <br />Database Management System protocol developed by the Technical Committee should begin to <br />be iinplemented. This includes developing and testing the database system for the Program. The <br />entire development process will continue through 2007. <br />AMWG and 5-Year Work Plan - Current plans are to continue to use Scott McBain and Nick <br />Aumen in 2007 for their assistance in working with the AMWG and Work Plans. This wark will <br />start in the first quarter 2007. <br />Whooping Crane Monitoring - Spring whooping crane monitoring will begin in the first <br />quarter 2007. <br />Analysis of CA Collected Whooping Crane Monitoring Data - The Interim Executive <br />Director's Office completed a pilot analysis of whooping crane monitoring data in 2005. The <br />Technical Committee, and most recently the AMWG, have requested that this analysis be <br />updated to include all data collected to date. The analysis will be during the first quarter 2007 <br />and continue later in 2007 if necessary. <br />Pulse Flow Test Monitoring - If the EA Pulse Flow Test is implemented in March 2007, the <br />Program should be prepared to implement monitoring efforts, as needed beyond those planned <br />for by the FWS/USGS/Trust. <br />Many of the items identified above will begin later in the first quarter 2007. The Governance <br />Committee Negotiating Team also requested that I provide an estimated total cost for January <br />2007. Based on the list above and those items that will realistically begin in January, I estimate <br />that the January budget will be $70,000. This includes funding for the following: Interim <br />Executive Directar ($20,000), Project Administration ($10,000), NCF fees ($5,000), Meeting <br />Rooms ($5,000), Protocol development ($5,000), Database development ($5,000), AMWG and <br />AMP Work Plan ($10,000), Analysis of Whooping Crane Data ($5,000), and Pulse Flow Test <br />Monitoring protocol ($5,000).
