89.. Carter, J. R., and A. R. Green. 1963. Floods WATER QUAN.
in Wyoming, magnitude and frequency, HYDROLOGY
U. S. Geological Survey Circular No. 478. FLOW
27 pp. GREEN R.
Methods are described in this report for esti-
mating the magnitude of a flood of any frequency
between 1.1 and 50 years for any site, gaged or
ungaged, on most unregulated streams in Wyoming,
within the limits of basin size for which
records have been collected. Flood-frequency
relations are not defined for a large part of
the headwaters of the North Platte River in
southcentral Wyoming, due to the paucity of
streamflow data. .Curves are presented showing
the ratio of floods of selected frequencies to
the mean annual flood used as an index. A
separate ratio curve is shown for the main stem
of the Green River. The ratio to mean annual
flood varies with mean basin altitude for a
small part of Snake River basin along the
westcentral border of the state.
90. Chamberlain, F. M. 1904. Unpublished
manuscript. U. S. Fish and Wildlife
Service, College Station, Texas. 8 pp.
This paper discusses the potential of introducing
suckers into proposed reservoirs and their
impact on trout. The various trout introductions
into the Gunnison River that originally contained
only Colorado River cutthroat trout, Salmo
clarki pleuriticus are also discussed. The
article states that "the white salmon of the
Colorado," Ptychocheilus lucius were rare in
ABUNDANCE
ENDANG.
