<br />MEETINGS bF THE COMMISSION <br /> <br />During the Water Year ending September 30,1991 the Commission <br />met four times as follows: <br /> <br />Meeting No. 212 <br /> <br />December 5,1990 Special Meeting <br />Las Vegas, Nevada <br /> <br />Meeting No. 213 <br /> <br />March 18, 1991 Regular Meeting <br />Salt Lake eity, Utah <br /> <br />Meeting No. 214 <br /> <br />July 16, 1991 <br /> <br />Adjourned Regular <br />Meeting <br />Rock Springs, Wyoming <br /> <br />Meeting No. 215 <br /> <br />September 16,1991 Annual Meeting <br />Salt Lake City, Utah <br /> <br />ACTIVITIES OF THE COMMISSION <br /> <br />Within the scope and limitations of Article I( a) of the Upper eolorado <br />River Basin eompact and under the powers conferred upon the eommis- <br />sion by Article VIII(d), the principal activities of the eommission have <br />consisted of: (A) research and studies of an engineering and hydrologic <br />nature of various facets of the water resources of the eolorado River Basin <br />especially as related to operation of the eolorado River reservoirs; (B) <br />collection and compilation of documents for a legal library relating to the <br />utilization of waters of the eolorado River System for domestic, industrial <br />and agricultural purposes, and the generation of hydroelectric power; (e) <br />legal analyses of associated laws, court decisions, reports and problems; <br />(D) participation in activities and providing comments on proposals that <br />would increase the beneficial consumptive uses in the Upper Basin, <br />including environmental, fish and wildlife, endangered species and water <br />quality activities to the extent that they might impair Upper Basin <br />development; (E) cooperation with water resources agencies of the <br />eolorado River Basin States on water and water-related problems; (F) an <br />education and information program designed to aid in securing appro- <br />priations of funds by the United States eongress for the construction, <br />planning and investigation of storage dams, reservoirs and water resource <br />development projects of the Colorado River Storage Project that have <br /> <br />7 <br />
