Formed in 1974 and sponsored by the U.S. Fish and
Wildlife Service, the Colorado River Fishes Recovery
Team seeks to restore to healthy populations those fishes
which are vanishing from the Colorado River System.
Biologists from the fish and wildlife agencies of the States
of Arizona, California, Colorado, Nevada and Utah and
from the U.S. Department of Interior serve on the team.
Special consultants from the private sector also provide
valuable expertise.
