BENNETT <br />Program Narrative Object <br />?I <br />031 o <br />a <br />The overall objective of this investigation is to monitor existing popula- <br />tions of Colorado squawfish and humpback chubs in selected trend zones and <br />concurrently assess habitat status within these zones. Spawning success will <br />be monitored by sampling habitats for larval fishes of both species. Informa- <br />tion derived from this investigation will be made available to management and <br />research personnel in the Division of Wildlife and other cooperating agencies. <br />A final report for the monitoring effort from 1977-1983 will be prepared and <br />distributed sometime in July 1984. <br />Segment Objectives <br />1. Monitor existing populations of squawfish and humpback chubs in <br />selected trend zones. <br />2. Monitor habitat status concurrently with population monitoring in <br />selected trend zones. <br />3• Monitor squawfish and humpback chub spawning success. <br />4. Increase public awareness of endangered fishes. <br />5. Develop capability to respond to requests from individuals and agencies. <br />Eygy
