Projec t Type: Pipeline <br />The Headgate 135 Lateral, Inc. manages the 135 Lateral, which starts at the Grand Valley <br />Irrigation Company’s (GVIC) Headgate 135 and delivers irrigation water to the 100 shareholders <br />in the Corporation. Members own shares of GVIC water which is conveyed to properties via the <br />Lateral. The headgate is located east of Grand Junction near the intersection of E Road and 31 <br />Rd. The Project is approximately 4800 feet new 15 to 6 inch PVC pipe that carries approximately <br />3.0 cfs. NRCS has provided planning and design engineering services. The total project cost is <br />$260,000. The des ign is scheduled for this summer and construction is scheduled for the fall of <br />2008. Proposed CWCB funding consists of an initial loan from CWCB for $262,600 that will be <br />reduced by an NRCS grant and several other project parti cipants. M.A. Concrete was aw arded the <br />project at a contract price of $185,000. The contractor commenced construction in the <br />November of 2008 and completed the project in February of 2009. The Company is currently <br />waiting on final disbursement of NRCS funds towards the project fro m which the final CWCB <br />loan will be calculated. Project substantial completion is scheduled for August of 2009. <br />27 . Water Supply and Storage Company – Ditch/Reservoir Rehabilitation <br />Authorization: Construction Fund County: Larimer/Weld <br />Water Source: South Platte River Project Yield: 55,000 acre - feet <br />Terms of Loan: $843,350@3.70% for 3 0 yrs. Projec t Type: Res./Ditch Rehabilitation <br />The Company is applying for a loan for two repair projects within its delivery system. The Grand <br />River Ditch Project i s located is located in Rocky Mountain National Park near the Continental <br />Divide at 10,200 feet near La Poudre Pass, and the Kluver Reservoir Outlet Project. The River <br />Ditch Project is a collection ditch for transbasin water diverted into La Poudre Pass C reek. The <br />water is diverted again into the Larimer County Canal which delivers about 18,000AF of the <br />Company’s 55,500AF annual delivery. In 2003, the Ditch failed and temporary pipes were <br />installed to restore flows quickly. A long term repair was delayed p ending a final settlement with <br />the NPS’s claim against the Company for damages caused by the breach. Design and construction <br />are scheduled for summer/fall of 2009. The Kluver Reservoir Outlet Project is located in Larimer <br />County between Kluver Lake and Re servoir #4. Travis Road is a County road which passes over <br />the outlet ditch. The retaining walls have begun to fail and the road surface is partially <br />undermined. The Company and the County are jointly funding project repair co sts of the repair. <br />The Kluve r Project has commenced cons truction and is approximately 95 % complete. The River <br />Ditch Project is currently in the bidding process with construction scheduled to commence in <br />August of 2009. <br />28 .
