obligated to search the record for evidence supporting the triai court's determination. See
Simpson v. Ya1e vrvs.; 886 P.2d 689, 698 (Colo. 1994); Peterson v. Grand Wate.r Comm'n,
195 Colo. 508, 5145, 579 P.2d 629, 634 (1978).
V. CONCLUSION
For the foregoing reasons, .Amici Northwest Colorado Council of Govetnments et al.
request that this Court affirm in its entirety the water court's decree awazding conditional and
absolute water rights for the Upper Gunnison River Water Conservancy Distrirt's kayak course
under the existing principles of Colorado water law.
