Counsel for the State received Applicant's brief at the close of business on Friday <br />October 24, 2003. The State's brief is due Monday November 10, 2003. <br />2. Undersigned counsel has contacted counsel for the Applicant to request an <br />additional four-day extension of time for the filing of the State's brief. This <br />additional time is necessary due to the length of the Applicant's brief (114 pages, <br />including attachments). The brief references the transcripts of the trial, among <br />other things, and thus, will require review of those transcripts. Additionally, <br />counsel responsible for writing the brief will be absent from the office October 29, <br />2003 through November 5, 2003, and co-counsel for the State will be out of the <br />country from October 31, 2003 through November 16, 2003. <br />
