6
1 worked on a number of Colorado water law cases, filing water
2 applications for reasonable diligence applications for
3 conditional decrees and the like. They also have a specialty
4 practice in trademark infringement, and I worked some degree
5 in that, but I don't believe it's all that relevant.
6 Q Would you say you worked a majority of your time in
7 water law?
8 A I believe the majority of the time I spent on water
9 issues.
10 Q And what was your employment after being employed
11 with Hill & Robbins?
12 A After I graduated from the University of Colorado
13 School of Law, I clerked for the Colorado Attorney General's
14 Office for a short time. And then I was hired as an attorney
15 in the water unit representing the State and division
16 engineers and all seven water divisions across the state. I
17 also represented the Division of Wildlife and its water rights
18 applications. I assisted or worked or represented the
19 Colorado Water Conservation Board in all of its water matters.
20 I also at the Attorney General's Office represented the
21 Department of Parks in water matters. And I believe I
22 represented the Historical Society and the Department of
23 Transportation in a number of water matters as well.
24 Q Would you say that gave you a fairly good background
25 with respect to familiarity in water law?
