and lim3tations hereinafter set forth. <br />"(b) i7henever the florr in the Colcrado R3ver at <br />the present site of said Shoshone diversion dam is less than <br />1,250 cubic feet per second, there shall, unon demand of the <br />authorized irri.;;ation division ea.71neer or other 5tate author- <br />ity naving char.-e of the 3istribution of the waters of <br />this stream, be ^eleased L'rom said reservoi; as a part of <br />said 52,QQO acre-Peet, the amount necessary with other wate"rs <br />avallable, tc Piil the vested aporca^iations of water up <br />to the amount concurrently being diverted or Vrithheld <br />from such vested appropri3tions by the project for diversion <br />to the eastern slope. <br />"(c) Said 100,000 acre-feet shall be stored primar- <br />ily for po:ver nurposes, and tY,e orater released shall be <br />avallable, without charge, to supply existing irrigat3on and <br />domestic appropriations of water, including the Grand Valley <br />reclamat3on profect, to supply all losses chargeable in the <br />delivery of said 52,000 acre-feet of water, and for future <br />use for domestic purposes.and in the lrrigation of lands <br />thereafter to be brought under cultivation in western Coloradn. <br />It shall be release3 within the period from April 15 to <br />October 15 oP each year as required to supply a sufPicient <br />qu2ntity to Maintain the specified flow of 1,250 cubic feet <br />per second o£ water at the present site of said Shoshone <br />d3version dam, provided this amount is not supplied from <br />the 52,000 acre-feet heretofore specified. 19ater not re- <br />quired for the above purposes shall also be ava3lable for <br />disposal to agencies for the develop*.nent of the shale oil or <br />other indust=ies. <br />"(d) The cost of construction and perpetual oper- <br />ation and mair.tenance of said reservoir or resarvoirs shall <br />-5-
