Testimony of Greg Fisher
Chief Planner
Denver Water Department
Concerning
Application for Water Rights of the Town of Silverthorne
Blue River Whitewater Course
Case Number 04CW217
My name is Greg Fisher. I swear to tell the truth. I am the Chief Planner in the Planning
Division of the Denver Water Department ("Denver Water"). I have held that position since
January, 2005. I have a bachelor of arts degree in economics from Middlebury College, VT.
My duties and responsibilities include forecasting population estimates for Denver Water's
service area. I also forecast demand estimates based upon our population forecasts and water use
patterns. I was asked to provide the following testimon.y:
Denver Water serves over 1.2 million people in the Denver Metropolitan area. Not only
does Denver Water supply water to its residents, but also to numerous municipalities including
the Cities of Littleton, Lakewood, Arvada, Broomfield, Westminster, Glendale, Wheat Ridge,
Commerce City, Cherry Hills Village, Greenwood Village, Centennial, Edgewater, Sheridan and
numerous special districts. By the year 2050, Denver Water forecasts it will serve 1.9 million
people. -
