<br />emeritus with and formerly ditector of the Conservation and
<br />Survey Division of the University of Nebraslca-Lincoln. He
<br />has a bachelor's degree from Peru (Nebrasfca) State Coilege
<br />and a master's degree in geology from the Universiry of
<br />Nebnska. He joined Conservation and Survey as a hydro-
<br />geologist in 1949 and became its director in 1965, serving
<br />in that capacity until 1987.
