System Hypotheses
A combination of flow management, sediment management, and land management will
change channel morphology of the Platte River, producing habitat necessary for Whooping
Crane, Least Tern, Piping Plover, Pallid Sturgeon and other species of concern.
A combination of land management and periodic mechanical maintenance will produce
habitat necessary to Whooping Crane, Least Tern, Piping Plover, and Pallid Sturgeon.
Program management actions will have no detectable affect on habitat for the target
species.
Program management will not be of sufficient scale and magnitude to affect system wide
changes in channel morphology and necessary habitat for the target species.
