Project No. 07-022.10
June 29, 2009
CWCB
1313 Sherman St.
Room 721
Denver, CO 80203
ATTN: Ben Wade

RE: 95% Progress Report for Lamar Water Conservation Plan
Dear Ben:
2310 East Prospect
Fort Collins, CO 80525
ph: 970.484.7477
fa: 970.484.7488
www.tec-engrs.com
The purpose of this report is to provide the 95% progress report for the City of Lamar Water Conservation
Plan Update. The following provides information on the progress of the update.
Proiect Tasks Completed
A Final Draft Water Conservation Plan Update was completed for the City of Lamar and the City
approved it. That Draft was submitted to CWCB in January 2009 and reviewed. We have made revisions
to the Draft per the CWCB comments and it is currently being reviewed by the City. Therefore, all tasks
have been completed.
Proiect Successes
The team work on the project between TEC and the City has been very good. The City has been very
open to the different options that have been discussed throughout the project and have shared their likes
and concerns of all the options discussed.
Proiect Obstacles
No significant obstacles occurred during this project.
Preliminary Findings
Based on the analysis of water use characterization, the majority of the water savings will be attributed to
enhanced irrigation practices at residences and the City Parks. Other water savings will be attributed to
low water toilets and washing machines, along with a water rate increase.
Once the City has completed their review of the Water Conservation Plan Update, we will submit it to
CWCB for approval. We appreciate the comments received from the CWCB.
Please contact me with any questions.
Sincerely;
rian Zic
President
The Engineering Company
