He added that Colorado has been a <br />leader in the development of policies and programs in the South Platte. <br />Dr. David Freeman from Colorado State University commented on his impressions of the <br />3-State Agreement process and the political realities he sees from the other states. Dr. <br />Freeman attends most all of 5PLRG meetings and the 3-State meetings and is writing a <br />book based on his observations. <br />Dave Little suggested that the group investigate other potential projects and expand our <br />efforts evaluating other options. He added it should be made known that the Tamarack <br />Plan is not just recharge efforts at the Tamarack Ranch State Wildlife Area but aLso <br />consists of other projects on private lands along the South Platte River. <br />Election of officers for year 2000: Dave Little moved that Steve Treadway remain as <br />President, Alan Berrryman remain as Vice-President, and Bob Schott remain as <br />Secretary/Treasurer. Seconded by Bill Condon. Motion carried. <br />Jon reminded the group that a tour of Tamarack Ranch is scheduled after lunch at 1:30 <br />PM. <br />The next SPLRG meeting will be on Thursday, March 30, 2000 at the office of LSPWCD <br />in Sterling, CO. The Executive Committee will meet at 9:00 AM with the regular <br />meeting starting at 9:30 AM. <br />Lou Rinaldo moved to adjourn. Seconded by Lazry Frame.
