• Providing engineering services to train District staff to manage and do accounting for <br />the plan of augmentation. <br />The motion also directed Manager Schott to develop an approximate time table/plan of action in <br />achievin these oals. Director Lingreen seconded. Motion passed unanimouslL. <br />Manager Schott noted that a list of accomplishments have been compiled for the substitute supply <br />plan at the Julesburg Recharge Project. Counsel Lawrence will present this list to the State <br />Engineer's office for review. <br />LEGAL REPORT: <br />Included in Counsel Lawrence's report were the following: <br />Opposition to Schauerman, 99-CW-004 - Director Fender made the motion to <br />authorize Counsel Lawrence to settle this case if no more than 260 acres are irri a? ted <br />from the two wells and total pumping; from all wells will not exceed 400 acre feet <br />ep r vear• Director Shimamoto seconded the motion which passed unanimously, <br />Opposition to Jensen Farms, 00-CW-0 15- Director Fender made the motion to <br />authorize Counsel Lawrence to settle this case if no more than 135 acres are <br />irrigated from the well. Director Lingreen seconded. Motion passed unanimously. <br />PRESIDENT'S REPORT: <br />Because of ill health, President Powers apologized for not being able to attend last month's Board <br />work session. <br />MANAGER'S REPORT: <br />• The District will have booths at both the Logan County Fair and the Morgan <br />County Ag Appreciation Day. <br />• Manager Schott reported that Duane Kuskie has requested inclusion in the District's <br />augmentation plan for an irrigated well. The well, however, is not within the <br />District's boundaries. The Board decided to deny the request. <br />• Tim Davis from the Colorado Division of Wildlife will be hosting an organizational <br />meeting to discuss the CREP Program. The meeting will be held August 8' at the <br />District office. <br />• Manager Schott noted that the District received a copy of a grant proposal Mike <br />Shannon of Duck's Unlimited submitted to the Wetlands Riparian Project. The <br />copy is available for review. <br />-4-
