RECHARGE PROJECTS UNDER CONSTIZ UCTION <br />AND <br />POTENTlAL PROJEC'TS BEING REVIEWED <br />1) Peterson Ditch Recharge Site from Lodgepole Creek to the existing Julesburg Site. <br />2) Contact Tim Haynes and evaluate facilities for possible lift pump to a new site <br />location on the corner of the NW 1/4 of his property and install flume in existing ditch. <br />3) When the Special Class "D" Contract Agreement is finalized, contact well owners <br />with recharge projects in place and operating to replace existing contract with new <br />agreement. <br />4) Evaluate South Reservation Recharge Sites ( Fender, Lanckiet, and Moist), plus <br />getting Jim Fender's wells in operation. <br />5) Contact Gene Lanckriet about "Thrasher Estate Property" for possible recharge site. <br />6) Examine the ditch that would convey water to the Thrasher Site, with the possibility <br />of extending it to the Pony Express State Wildlife Area. <br />7) Work with Rick Brown (CWCB) in locating other potential projects on lower reach of <br />the South Platte River. <br />NOTE: <br />Jon Altenhofen P.E. and Brad Wind P.E. from Northern Colorado Water <br />Conservancy District have provided their expertise and time in locating potential <br />recharge sites and have been instrumental in the development of projects along the <br />lower South Platte River area. <br />The staff and stockholders af the Julesburg Irrigation District and Liddle Ditch Co. <br />have assisted in the ezpansion of additional recharge projects by conveyance of <br />water through the Peterson Canal and Liddle Ditch respectfully. Also the South <br />Reservation Canal stockholders are reviewing potential recharge sites on the south <br />side of the river near Ovid. <br />??
