STATEMENT OF POLICY <br />LOWER SOUTH PLATTE WATER CONSERVANCY DISTRICT <br />In order to more capably fulfill its duties and obligations to the Lower South Platte Water <br />Conservation District, Board of Directors of said District hereby issue the following <br />declaration of policy pertaininb to matters that may fall within its jurisdiction. <br />The Policy of the Board shall be: <br />1. To act as a Board for the general welfare of the entire District. <br />2. To expedite water storage, and other viable water conservation practices and <br />projects. <br />?. To take any action necessary to protect water users to obtain and perfect water <br />right decrees inherent to development of water projects. <br />4. To support legislation which, in the opinion of the Board, is in the best interest <br />of water users of the South Platte Basin. <br />5. To cooperate actively with other entities which have similar objectives. <br />6. To secure competent and qualified advice for the realization of the District's <br />objectives when such a need is indicated. <br />7. To act on the agenda as prepared and presented and to table major proposals if <br />further study is required. <br />8. To investigate the feasibility of proposed water projects, and to make <br />information developed available to the general public. <br />9. To hold its regularly scheduled meeting open to the public and to give equal <br />opportunity for anyone in attendance to state and have considered his/her <br />opinion on matters related to the business at hand. <br />10. To assure all groups receive fair and equitable consideration on items <br />pertaining to the District. <br />11. To annually review the active set of goals and objectives from which to work. <br />12. To assure that any additions or corrections to the policy statement shall be at <br />the discretion of the Board. <br />Amended: December 5, 2000
