Any construction in this area should be explained in the design <br />report and detailed in the design drawings for our review and acceptance. <br />Technical Suecifications <br />Section 02300 - Earthwork <br />22. On page 2, provide a gradation for the proposed structural fil{. <br />23. On page 3, provide a gradation for the proposed bulk backfill. Where will bulk backfill be pfaced? <br />Provide notation on the design drawing on where bulk backfill will be placed. <br />24. On page 8, this office recommends that the maximum Ioose lift thickness for structurai fill not <br />exceed 8-inches. <br />25. On page 9, this office recommends that the maximum loose lift thickness for bulk (non structural) <br />fill not exceed 10 inches. <br />Section 027t 0- Drainage Pipfng <br />26. On page 2, modify the paragraph 3-4.B to include a video ins~~tion of the toe drain system after <br />a maximum of 3 to 5 feet of fill is placed over the toe drain per the requirement of Rule 5.9.4.3.5.8 <br />of the Rules and Regulations. <br />Final Submittal and Other Comments: <br />• Permits from other local and federal agencies may be required prior to the start of construction of <br />this project. The appropriate agenaes should be contacted to determine whict~ permits are <br />required. <br />• The final submittal of the plans and specificatians for the approval of the State Engineer for the <br />construction of this project should include the following items: <br />o One Mylar cover sheet (ful! size) of the Construction Drawings signed and seafed by the <br />engineer with the engineer's Colorado P.E. number printed on the sheet. <br />o Three sets of signed and sealed Construction Drawings. The drawings should he on fuA size <br />24° x 36° or 22" x 34" bond or blueline sheets in accordance with Rule 5.2.8 of the Rules and <br />Regulations. <br />o Four copies of bound Technical Speci~cations signed and sealed by fhe engineer with the <br />engineePs Colorado P.E. number printed on the certification sheet. <br />o One capy of the entire revised version of the signed and sealed Design documents. <br />
