• <br />• <br />PRRIP - ED <br />PLATTE RIVER RECOVERY <br />FISCAL YEAR 2008 BUDGET <br />FINAL <br />ATION PROGRAM <br />ANNUAL WORK PLAN <br />Introduction <br />The Platte River Recovery Implementation Prol <br />(Program) was initiated on January 1, 2007 <br />as a basin-wide effort between the states of Col rado, Wyoming, and Nebraska and the <br />Department of Interior to provide land, water, d scientific monitoring and research to evaluate <br />Program benefits for the target species. The Pr gram is being implemented in an incremental <br />manner, with the First Increment covering the 1-year period from 2007 through 2019. In <br />general, the purpose of the Program is to imple ent certain aspects of the U.S. Fish and Wildlife <br />Service's (Service) recovery plans for the target species that relate to the Program's identified <br />"associated habitats" in the central Platte River y securing defined benefits for those species and <br />their habitats.
