• • PRRIP - ED PLATTE RIVER RECOVERY FISCAL YEAR 2008 BUDGET FINAL ATION PROGRAM ANNUAL WORK PLAN Introduction The Platte River Recovery Implementation Prol (Program) was initiated on January 1, 2007 as a basin-wide effort between the states of Col rado, Wyoming, and Nebraska and the Department of Interior to provide land, water, d scientific monitoring and research to evaluate Program benefits for the target species. The Pr gram is being implemented in an incremental manner, with the First Increment covering the 1-year period from 2007 through 2019. In general, the purpose of the Program is to imple ent certain aspects of the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service's (Service) recovery plans for the target species that relate to the Program's identified "associated habitats" in the central Platte River y securing defined benefits for those species and their habitats.
