According to the Platte River Recovery Implementation Program the State Demography Office shall
report the amount by which the population of each region is expected to increase over the Population
Baseline (July, 1997) by the end of the initial reporting period (January, 2009).
On the second page you will find- a table with the defined regions, Colorado Depletion Plan (CDP)
estimates for July 1, 1997, State Desqography Office (SDO) estimates for July 1, 1997, SDO
population forecasts for January 1, 2009, and the forecast population increase. The population is
expected to increase by 728,120 in the whole South Platte River Basin between the baseline of July
1, 1997 and January 1, 2009.
Please be aware that we revise our county forecasts annually so what we are showing currently as
our forecast for 2009 may change dependant upon economic and social conditions within the state
and nationally. All of our data is available on our website at:
