PS-1: Program water management and retiming in
the upper basin will result in measurable changes on
pallid sturgeon habitat in the lower Platte River.
a)
4-j
-4--j
cu
?
L
?
?
?
J
c
N
?
O
LL
O CfS
? CfS
Flows in central Platte due to Program pulse flow
augmentation (spring time frame)
Program pulse flow management was used to address this hypothesis as
it has the greatest chance of resulting in measurable change in the lower
Platte. The probability of detecting flow related changes in the lower
Platte as a result of other expected Program water management
activities (e.g., new depletions plans, summer flow augmentation) is
much less or improbable. Could use stage change instead of flow.
Could do similar one for Program sediment management resulting in
detectable change in the lower Platte River channel geomorphology.
