<br />The primary cultural feature of excavations in
<br />the San Luis Valley was a hidden level contain-
<br />ing profuse amounts of fish bone, mostly Gila
<br />nigrescens,-and Ictiobus spp., suggesting the
<br />existence of a large lake in the early
<br />quaternary.
