N~~t. 29:21-33.
A survey of the Colorado River drainage in
Colorado was made during the summer-fall of
1979-1981 to determine the distribution of
larval Colorado squawfish, and to relate their
occurrence to the hydrological regime. The
greatest abundance of adults and larvae were
found in the lower Colorado and Yampa Rivers.
Observations indicate that stream flow and
temperature affect the reproductive success of
Colorado squawfish, but other factors may also
be limiting recruitment.
ALTERATION, COLORADO RIVER DRAINAGE,
DISTRIBUTION, EARLY LIFE HISTORY, ENDANGERED,
HABITAT, REPRODUCTION, STREAM FLOW
169
Hazzard, L.
