Searches for additional spawning sites may be advisable. <br />~~;" <br />~,'~ri <br />4) The importance of.the Three Fords spwning site to Colorado squawfish was <br />evident in the preponderence of YOY of this species in Gray Canyon. Monitoring <br />and preservation of this site should be a prioirty for this species inthe lower Green <br />River. <br />5) High catch rates of Colorado squawfish well upstream of Three Fords Rapid in <br />1996, while catch rates in the Ouray reach were quite low may indiacte the <br />resence of anoth r <br />p e spawning area(s) between Ouray and Desolation Canyon. <br />(6~t ~ ~ Monitoring of this reach ma be advisable to determine th <br />V y y e validity of this <br />IJ observation. <br />6) ~ Continued anlaysis of data, especially non-native catch data, aze necessary. <br />31 <br />
