PREFACE
This report was written in fulfillment of research proposal No. 8 (1992) in coordination with Utah
State University, The Utah Division of Wildlife Resources and The Recovery Implementation
Program for the Endangered Fish Species in the Upper Colorado River Basin (UCRB).
This study was funded by the Recovery Implementation Program for the Endangered Fish Species
in the Upper Colorado River Basin. The Recovery Program is a joint effort of the U.S. Fish and
Wildlife Service, U. S. Bureau of Reclamation, Western Area Power Administration, state of
Colorado, Utah and Wyoming, Upper Basin Water users, and environmental organizations.
Additional funding and support was provided by The Ecology Center, Utah State University, the
Berryman Institute, Utah State University and the Utah Division of Wildlife Resources, Nongame
division.
The main body of this report has been submitted to the Journal of Conservation Biology for
publication and is authored by Todd A. Crowl, David A. Beauchamp, Jeff M. Godfrey, Tom
