PREFACE <br />This report was written in fulfillment of a research proposal submitted by Utah State <br />University to the Utah Division of Wildlife Resources as a collaborative effort between <br />Utah State University, The Utah Division of Wildlife Resources and The Recovery <br />Implementation Program for the Endangered Fish Species in the Upper Colorado River <br />Basin (UCRB). <br />This study was funded by the Recovery Implementation Program for the Endangered <br />Fish Species in the Upper Colorado River Basin. The Recovery Program is a joint <br />effort of the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, U. S. Bureau of Reclamation, Western Area <br />Power Administration, the states of Colorado, Utah, and Wyoming, Upper Basin Water <br />Users, and environmental organizations. Additional funding and support was provided <br />by the Ecology Center, Utah State University, the Berryman Institute, Utah State <br />University, and the Utah Division of Wildlife Resources, Nongame Division. <br />The main body of this report will be submitted to Ecological Applications for publication <br />and will be authored by Todd A. Crowl, Nicolaas W. Bouwes, Gary Belovsky and Leo <br />D. Lentsch. The mathematical portion of the reporf pertaining to the model has been <br />reviewed by Gary Belovsky and Tom Nesler. <br />11 <br />
