Maximum flows in cubic feet per second (cfs) for May and
June of each year for the period of record are shown in Figure 2.
Tremendous variability in maximum flows between years occur in
the early part of the record, followed by a period with little
annual variability from 1963 to the present, interrupted by the
great water years of 1983 and 1984. Apparently maximum flows on
the Green River have been controlled by Flaming Gorge Dam have
reduced peak flows after 1963. A clear difference in maximum
flows is seen before and after the early 1960's.
