depth of 2 cm. A liter of this material would comprise an area <br />of approximately 0.05 mz. It is important to remember when <br />interpreting graphs for the benthos that only one sample was <br />collected for each station at each sample period. <br />Overview of Invertebrate Sample Stations <br />Invertebrate sample stations were established in the study <br />area in June of 1993 {Figure 19). A total of 12 stations were <br />sampled for invertebrates (Table 3). Communities represented by <br />these stations are: 1) bulrush (2 stations); 2) open water- <br />aquatic (3 stations); 3) riverine backwater (4 stations); and 4) <br />river (3 stations). Communities were sampled six times during <br />1993 on or about the dates of 19 June, 29 June, 15 July, 28 July, <br />17 August, and 19 October. When stations went dry they were no <br />longer sampled. <br />Table 3.
