Evidence now suggests that microcrustaceans and other <br />planktonic organisms may be important foods for the fry and adult razorback suckers <br />(Marsh 1987, Mazsh and Langhorst 1988, Papoulias and Minckley 1990). If the <br />densities of microcrustaceans presented here aze reflective of those in historical <br />riverine habitats it appears that the control of floods has also reduced the total food <br />resource available for the native fishes. <br />20 <br />
