Figure 8 is a set of regression equations which represent
the relationship between total annual flow in acre feet and
maximum May and June flows, in cfs, at Jensen, UT. The period of
record was divided into two data sets, the period 1946-1962, and
the period 1963-1993. The first 16 years represents the period
of record prior to the closing of Flaming Gorge Dam, while the
last 31 years represents the modern Green River.
~+~-
U
O
_~
X
Q
All regressions are significant at p<.001
- 1946-1962 May R2 = .71
---- 1946-1962 June R2 = .61
-- 1963-1993 May R2 = .73 ~
- - 1963-1993 June R2 = .72 ~
~ ~,
~.
~, /,,
_ ~. ,
_ i'
~- ~,
,- , -
- ~~ , ,
_ ~~
~. , ,
_ ~. ,
_ ~~,
~- ,
_ ~;,
_ ~; -
~; ,
- ~ -,
_ ~;
0 ~
1000000
2000000 3000000 4000000 5000000 6000000
TOTAL ANNUAL FLOW (ac ft)
Figure 8.
